There are two different types of flowers you can purchase: annuals and perennials. Annuals are easy to grow and provide instant color for your landscaping. Perennials may not be in bloom depending on the time of the year. Be careful if you plant these because they automatically come back each year. The potential home buyer may not want the perennials you plant. 

If you do not have a large yard to plant flowers in, put hanging baskets on the front porch. You could also install a container garden, which is purchasing a variety of container flowers in different sizes. Group the containers together to make them look like a garden.

If you will be showing your home at night, adding landscape lighting is beneficial not only for aesthetics but for safety. A part of landscape lighting is installing security lights. Install these lights in any area that is often dark as they will instantly lighten things up while people are walking through your property. Place security lights near the entry area of the home, around a garage area, or around a patio.
